Beck Redden Lawyers Help Restore Florida’s Coastline

  • September 23, 2017

Just weeks ago, Hurricane Irma ravaged the state of Florida.  In an effort to demonstrate their support to help rebuild the Sunshine State after this catastrophic event, Beck Redden lawyers participated in Project ROC (Reclaiming Our Coastline) during the Firm’s annual retreat held this year in Ft. Lauderdale.  On September 23rd, the Firm partnered with HandsOn Broward to assist with this project that addresses environmental stewardship and habitat protection by engaging, educating, and activating youth and adults to help reclaim and restore Broward County’s eroding coastline.

Fifteen Beck Redden attorneys and their spouses were educated on the importance of natural ecosystems and helped clean up beaches, remove invasive plants, and install native plants that discourage beach erosion while providing habitat for sea turtle nesting, food for pollinators, and way-stations for migratory birds within Broward County.
