Awarded by Texas Lawyer

Beck Redden LLP litigators have been named the 2016 Litigation Department of the Year by Texas Lawyer.

The Firm took top honors in the General Litigation category for midsize firms in the annual statewide competition, besting finalist Susman Godfrey.

“Beck Redden trial and appellate lawyers were on the forefront of some of the most notable and significant cases in 2015, with results impacting Texas and the United States,” said Partner Troy Ford.  “We are honored for this distinguished recognition as it further demonstrates the depth and breadth of our litigation practice and our exceptional attorneys.  This is an extremely proud moment for Beck Redden.”

In determining the winners, the publication asked law firms to share big victories and important cases that occurred in 2015 that showcase why their litigation team should be recognized. The work submitted may have been done in Texas or throughout the rest of the country; however, the work had to be led by Texas lawyers.

Beck Redden’s winning entry highlighted significant trial and appellate victories in 2015, including wins for Johnson & Johnson and its subsidiary, Ethicon, Inc., Exxon Mobil Corporation, Plains Exploration & Production Co., and Charles G. Hooks III.

Winning law firms will be profiled in a special supplement in the November issue of Texas Lawyer magazine and awarded their prizes at an event to be held November 1 at the Belo Mansion in Dallas.
