The firm represents Cameron International Corporation in the multi-billion dollar Deepwater Horizon litigation. In 2001, Cameron International manufactured and sold the blowout preventer that was used by the Transocean-owned vessel when the blowout occurred in April 2010. The firm defended Cameron’s interests as lead counsel both in the Multi-District Litigation proceedings pending in New Orleans, Louisiana and in the hearings before the U.S. Coast Guard – Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Regulation and Enforcement Joint Investigation. In April 2013, after six weeks of trial, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana found that Cameron was not liable to any claimant and entered an order completely dismissing Cameron from the litigation.
