$29 Million+ Jury Verdict Upheld on Appeal in GPO Contract Dispute

Beck Redden secured a complete trial and appellate victory for client Buying Power, Inc. (BPI), a group purchasing organization, in its breach of contract lawsuit against Graybar Electric Company, Inc. After a six-day trial, the jury found in favor of BPI, with the total judgment exceeding $29 million. The Fourteenth Court of Appeals affirmed the trial court’s judgment.

The Texas Supreme Court denied review in high-profile wrongful death cases against Raymond James & Associates, fully affirming a jury verdict holding the firm vicariously liable for its pilot-employee’s negligence in a 2019 plane crash that killed prominent Houstonians.
