Amy Parker Beeson is a seasoned trial lawyer with a distinctive edge in commercial matters, specifically within the energy industry.

Amy has a proven track record representing upstream oil and gas producers in a wide variety of commercial disputes, including claims arising under joint operating agreements, farmout agreements, development agreements, purchase and sale agreements, and other energy-related transactions. She is frequently involved in high-stakes royalty disputes on behalf of multinational oil and gas companies as well as independent producers. Her deep background in the energy industry includes defending natural gas and power marketing entities facing allegations of market manipulation and refining companies against product liability and environmental contamination claims. With a wealth of industry experience and a reputation for finding the silver bullet, Amy provides clients with strategic, industry-specific counsel and market-minded advocacy, navigating complex problems with unparalleled skill.

Although Amy has historically maintained a focus in the energy sector, her remarkable versatility as a litigator attracts a range of clients. She has experience representing companies facing allegations ranging from simple breach of contract to securities fraud and corporate malfeasance. Her range also extends to high-profile probate litigation, including the recent defense of an estate plan that solidified control over one of the largest ranching and oil and gas empires in Texas. Valued at nearly $1US billion, the case was also one of the largest will contests in Texas to ever go to trial. Amy’s sharp legal mind and attention to detail provide clients a nuanced advantage in disputes of all shapes and sizes.

Amy’s dedication to her clients and her creative approach has contributed to numerous noteworthy victories and accolades, including one of Law360’s “Biggest Energy Rulings of 2016” and The Texas Lawbook’s Business Litigation of the Year Award at the 2019 Outstanding Corporate Counsel Awards. She has been named in The Best Lawyers in America in Commercial Litigation and Litigation – Environmental since 2022 and was previously included on Benchmark Litigation’s “40 & Under Hot List” in Energy and Commercial Litigation and was honored as one of Houston’s Top 50 Women in Law by the Texas Diversity Council in 2017.
