Having clerked at the trial and appellate levels of the federal judiciary, David uses his first-hand knowledge of courts to assist clients with complex litigation of all types.
After graduating law school, David served as a law clerk to the Honorable Jane Triche Milazzo of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana. After clerking, he worked at a prominent firm in New Orleans, Louisiana, where he represented a diverse range of clients, from major energy companies to small startups. David’s sharp research and writing were integral to achieving favorable outcomes for his clients. After practicing for two years, David returned to the federal judiciary to clerk for the Honorable Edith Brown Clement of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
During law school, David served as editor-in-chief of the Louisiana Law Review and won many accolades, including the Vinson & Elkins Outstanding Student Comment award, a spot on the Junior Council of the Louisiana State Law Institute, and first place in his school’s moot court competition.

- Represented a major drilling company in a limitation of liability proceeding and helped secure the denial of claimants’ motion for summary judgment on limitation and liability
- Represented a hospitality technology company in a complex commercial dispute involving breach of contract claims
- Represented a major exploration and production company as a plaintiff in a breach of contract action involving the sale of offshore assets
- Represented a vessel operating company as a defendant and succeeded in dismissing the plaintiff’s claim for punitive damages
- Represented a hospitality startup company as the plaintiff in an arbitration proceeding and won a money judgment in the company’s favor
