With more than a decade of sales and entrepreneurial experience prior to his legal career, in addition to his federal appellate clerkship, Eric leverages a wealth of skills and experiences to ensure success for his clients at all stages of complex litigation.

Eric is a well-regarded advocate. He prides himself on his professional approach to cases, ensuring diligent preparation and effective advocacy, while prioritizing his clients’ business goals and objectives.  A highly touted associate, Eric practices with a confidence, professionalism, and maturity beyond his years of legal experience. His sound judgment and instincts, diligent research, and excellent writing skills are often on display in achieving successful outcomes for his clients. He has successfully represented clients from various industries, including renewable energy, oilfield service, exploration and production, real estate development, healthcare, and software and technology. He has represented clients in both state and federal courts, as well as domestic arbitrations.

Before law school, Eric cultivated an award-winning sales career while working for several Fortune 500 organizations. Known for his personable demeanor, he excelled at building genuine relationships with his clients. And through his extensive sales training, Eric refined his ability to diagnose organizational needs, identify solutions, and effectively negotiate—skills that he regularly uses in service of his legal clients. More recently, Eric directed sales and marketing efforts as an equity partner in a Texas-based restaurant franchisee group. Eric credits his entrepreneurial background with shaping his keen understanding of the complexities of business ownership, profitable business operation, and risk mitigation.

During law school, Eric was no stranger to success.  He was valedictorian of his law school class, graduating summa cum laude from South Texas College of Law Houston.  He served as Editor-in-Chief of the South Texas Law Review, while also a member of the Order of the Lytae, a Presidential Fellow, and on the Dean’s Honor list for all three years. Eric was also selected as a National Jurist Magazine 2022 Law Student of the Year—the only law student from Texas to receive the distinction.  While in law school, he also served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Jennifer Walker Elrod, Chief Judge of United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and the Honorable Charles R. Eskridge III of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas.

Following law school, Eric practiced for two years as a litigation associate in the Houston office of a prominent international law firm. Prior to joining Beck Redden, Eric served as a law clerk to the Honorable Jennifer Walker Elrod, Chief Judge of United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
