The 2026 edition of The Legal 500 United States has ranked Beck Redden in two practice areas nationally. The first is Energy litigation: oil & gas – mid-market ($0–500m), where the firm was recognized in Tier 2. The second is General commercial disputes – mid-market ($0–250m), in which the firm was recognized for the first time nationally in Tier 4 and where David Beck was named in the Hall of Fame and Fields Alexander received recognition as a Leading Partner. The publication also highlighted the work of Geoff Gannaway, Russell Post, Mary Kate Raffetto, Joshua Smith, and Matthew Whitley across complex commercial and energy-related matters.

Feedback referenced Beck Redden’s “top-tier” and “incredibly intelligent” team, with its “surgical” advocacy in trial and appeals, particularly in high-profile disputes, and praised the firm’s “commitment to ethics and doing right by the client.”

For almost 40 years, The Legal 500 has evaluated law firms worldwide through research that includes lawyer interviews, client and peer feedback, and analysis of notable casework, and is widely regarded as a leading legal referral guide for companies and in-house counsel.

“They have top-tier lawyers throughout the firm who are incredibly intelligent, smart, and very knowledgeable.”
