Beck Redden Responds to COVID-19

March 24, 2020

News

These are uncertain and unprecedented times. As the country and the world navigate the challenges and impacts that COVID-19 is having on our communities, we at Beck Redden are working tirelessly not only to keep our team safe and healthy, but also to protect the interests of our clients. We continue to monitor the latest developments closely, and we want to take a moment to walk you through some of the measures we are implementing, update you on how we are moving forward, and answer some of the questions you may have.

It is a difficult time, we know. But we also know we can and will get through this together.

Beck Redden – Ready for a New Reality

Beck Redden remains open for business. While our physical Houston office may be closed, our work has not stopped. For their safety and well-being, our team members are working remotely, using any and all technology at their disposal. From virtual client meetings to participating in hearings by phone and video conference and taking depositions remotely, Beck Redden prides itself on being nimble enough to adapt to this ever-changing situation quickly and seamlessly.

Rest Assured, We Will Not Rest

Right now, cities across the country and in Texas (including Houston) are “sheltering in place” and some courts are closed; many have ceased or slowed the scheduling of trials or hearings. Despite these challenges, we at Beck Redden are not slowing down. While each client has different needs, we continue to move cases forward in any and all ways we can. This includes filing pleadings and appellate briefs, video conferencing to discuss our cases and plot strategy, and providing periodic case and court updates.

The Path Forward

When we say we can and will get through this together, we mean it. As always, our lawyers are available should you ever have questions or concerns or items you would like to discuss. Whether it be by telephone, email, or online video conference, we are committed to providing you with the same impeccable service you have come to expect from your Beck Redden team.

As you know, the circumstances continue to change and evolve with each passing day. During this time, we ask that you:

  • Provide us with any information that we may need to comply with existing case deadlines;
  • Never assume a deadline has been changed or extended;
  • Stay in close contact with our lawyers to stay up-to-date on any court changes, adjustments, or requirements; and
  • Reach out to us if there is anything we can do to assist you in navigating these uncertain times.

As the situation develops, please know we will continue to keep you updated. We are committed to working with you to achieve our common goals, and we know we can and will persevere together.
