A Commercial Arbitration Tribunal awarded Matthews full damages, including costs, attorneys’ fees, and post-judgment interest after a multi-day hearing. Matthews, a national commercial real estate brokerage, filed its claims after a former client breached a listing agreement by refusing to pay a commission for the sale of commercial property and rebuked having signed an agreement at all. Throughout the case, Beck Redden, in partnership with Matthews, successfully compelled the dispute to arbitration before the American Arbitration Association and also effectively fended off multiple TRO requests.
