The Firm is pleased to announce that Garrett S. Brawley has been appointed as Co-Chair of the Texas Young Lawyers Association’s National Trial Competition Committee and Vice-Chair of the Texas Young Lawyers Association’s State Moot Court Competition Committee for the 2024-2025 Bar year.

“I’m honored to be appointed as Co-Chair and Vice-Chair of TYLA’s competition committees. I look forward to upholding TYLA’s long tradition of training the next generation of trial and appellate lawyers.” – Garrett S. Brawley

The National Trial Competition was established in 1975 to encourage and strengthen students’ advocacy skills through quality competition and valuable interaction with members of the bench and bar. The program is co-sponsored by the American College of Trial Lawyers and is designed to expose law students to the nature of trial practice and to serve as a supplement to their education. TYLA administers the competition, which attracts teams from more than 140 law schools and involves more than 1,000 law students each year.

Each year in conjunction with the State Bar of Texas Annual Meeting, the Texas Young Lawyers Association invites all ABA-accredited law schools in Texas to compete in the State Moot Court Competition. This year, the competition was held on June 18-20, 2024, at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas, Texas.
