Beck Redden LLP is proud to announce that trial associate, Lena Silva, was elected to the Houston Young Lawyers Association (HYLA) Board of Directors for 2023-2024.

Lena has been a HYLA member since 2020 when she moved back to Houston after completing her judicial clerkship in El Paso, Texas. In addition to her Board position, Lena currently co-chairs HYLA’s Spanish Committee, coordinating salsa classes and monthly Consejos Legales (Spanish legal line) volunteer socials, and is a regular participant of HYLA’s Allyship Book Club. Lena also sits on the Houston Hispanic Bar Association (“HisBA”) Board—co-chairing its Mentorship Committee. She looks forward to fostering collaboration between HYLA and HisBA in her roles.

The Houston Young Lawyers Association (HYLA) is a dynamic young professionals organization and specialty bar association. Their membership is diverse and consists of attorneys who are 36 years old and under as of June 1, or in their first five years of practice, as well as law students. Each year, they offer an exciting lineup of social networking events, CLEs, and leadership and volunteer opportunities. HYLA was founded in 1937 as the Houston Junior Bar Association and has a rich tradition of community involvement and leadership in the Houston legal community.
