In 2020, he was elected the youngest-ever Chair of the HBA International Law Section, navigating the pandemic to engage and expand the section’s membership with programming that was prolific in volume and broad in scope. And because of the reputation he had built for himself, Seepan was then appointed Co-Chair of the HBA Professionalism Committee. Seepan’s commitment to professionalism and excellent work as an ambassador of legal ethics exceeded his already-high expectations and earned him the 2021-22 HBA President’s Award. Following his work on the Professionalism Committee, Seepan was appointed Co-Chair of the HBA CLE Committee – a committee that demands significant time commitment and requires leaders who take initiative, can leverage a broad network, and have demonstrated their ability to organize quality programming for HBA members. Seepan’s impact on the CLE Committee and the HBA through his service as a whole cannot be understated. By attracting nationally recognized leaders to participate in programming, Seepan raised the HBA’s profile both locally and nationally and expanded the HBA’s reach in the Houston legal community.

Since 2020, Seepan has also been recognized as a Super Lawyers Rising Star in business litigation and a Best Lawyers Ones to Watch in commercial litigation and intellectual property litigation. In 2019, Seepan was inducted into the Texas Lawyer Verdicts Hall of Fame for earning the top contract verdict in Texas that year and received the “20 under 40 Rising Stars” award by the Armenian Bar Association in 2022.
