Beck Redden Of Counsel, Allison Miller, is leading an ethics session for the second annual Institute for Energy Law’s virtual Energy Transactions Conference: Responding to Unprecedented Global Change titled, “The Ethics of Listening: How Becoming Better Listeners Make Us Better Lawyers (and Clients)”. This session will explore the importance of listening, and how having better listening skills can improve our communications with clients, business partners, outside counsel, and co-workers, both practically and ethically speaking. It will cover topics that arise under ABA Model Rule 1.2, Scope of Representation (Texas Disciplinary Rule 1.02); Model Rule 1.4, Communications (Texas Rule 1.03); and Rule 2.1, Advisor (Texas Rule 2.01), among others.
