Trained first as a chemical engineer, Larry is a natural problem solver who understands the importance of explaining complex problems simply—whether at trial or on appeal.
A trial and appellate advocate, Larry represents plaintiffs and defendants in complex commercial disputes across the country. Larry’s trial preparation and briefing have led to favorable settlements and dismissals in both state and federal courts.
He has deposed C-suite executives, briefed case-dispositive motions in courts nationwide, and presented oral argument before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Before joining Beck Redden, Larry practiced at Susman Godfrey LLP and clerked for the Honorable Kevin C. Newsom of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
Larry graduated from Stanford Law School, where he served as an editor of the Stanford Law Review and earned the Judge Thelton E. Henderson Prize for his contributions in the Stanford Environmental Law Clinic. Before attending law school, Larry worked as a chemical engineer for an oil & gas supermajor in Baytown, Texas. He graduated summa cum laude with a dual degree in Chemical Engineering and Economics from Auburn University
