Beck Redden LLP is pleased to announce that Partner Alistair B. Dawson has been elected 2022-2023 Chair of the Texas Bar Foundation Board of Trustees. Alistair took office on June 1, 2022.

Alistair Dawson is an acclaimed trial lawyer. He has handled and tried a variety of challenging commercial lawsuits with success, from bet-the-company litigation to individual claims. As a result of his skills and perseverance, Alistair has earned widespread praise from clients and colleagues as a “go to” trial lawyer.

Alistair is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and is recognized by The Best Lawyers in America (2012-2022) for commercial litigation, Benchmark Litigation as a Local Litigation Star – Texas (2014-2022) for antitrust, competition, general commercial litigation, international arbitration, professional liability, and securities, and by Chambers USA (2005-2022) as a leading trial lawyer in Texas. In 2020, Alistair was recognized as an Attorney of the Year finalist by the Texas Lawyer. Alistair is also a member of the nationally acclaimed American Board of Trial Advocates.

He previously served as Nominating Chair for District 4, as Fellows Chair, and as Chair-elect prior to his election as Chair of the Texas Bar Foundation’s Board of Trustees.

Founded in 1965 by attorneys determined to assist the public and improve the profession of law, the Texas Bar Foundation has maintained its mission of using the financial contributions of its membership to enhance the rule of law and the system of justice in Texas. To date, the Texas Bar Foundation has distributed more than $24 million throughout Texas to assist nonprofit organizations with a wide range of justice-related programs and services. More than $1.5 million is projected to be distributed for grants this fiscal year.
