On October 12, 2023, Appellate Associate, Nicholas Bruno, along with Judge Lauren Reeder, Jennifer Caughey, and Bryon Rice, presented “Business Courts: What Appellate Practitioners Should Know” at the Houston Bar Association’s Appellate Practice Section CLE. This presentation aimed to focus on a discussion between the panelists on issues that are likely to arise that appellate practitioners may encounter with the new business courts and Fifteenth Court of Appeals provisions enacted during the last regular Legislative session.
The HBA Appellate Practice Section is the largest local appellate bar in the State of Texas. The section holds monthly luncheons featuring high-quality CLE presentations by appellate judges and leading members of the appellate bar. Nicholas Bruno currently serves on the HBA Appellate Practice Section as a Secretary.
