Beck Redden LLP is pleased to announce that our partner David M. Gunn has been appointed by Governor Abbott to serve on the First Court of Appeals in Houston. David is one of the best-respected appellate lawyers in Texas. He is board certified in appellate law, a fellow of the invitation-only American Academy of Appellate Lawyers, and has been practicing for more than thirty-five years. He has embraced the opportunity to enter public service as a member of the judiciary with the same spirit of curiosity and commitment that has animated his appellate practice.

The Firm’s appellate practice has expanded significantly since it was founded twenty-one years ago, and it is consistently recognized as among the best appellate groups in Texas. The team includes nine skilled attorneys, including Russell Post who joined Gunn as a partner shortly after his arrival to the Firm. Post, also a Fellow of the American Academy of Appellate Lawyers and a board-certified appellate specialist with almost 30 years of experience, is joined by three additional board-certified appellate lawyers and rising star appellate partners Owen J. McGovern and Mary Kate Raffetto.
