- As first and only chair trial lawyer, obtained complete victory in AAA arbitration on behalf of a national commercial real estate brokerage against a former client who breached a listing agreement. Cassie handled all pre and post-hearing briefing, discovery including depositions, successfully compelled the arbitration in district court, defeated three temporary restraining orders to forestall the final hearing, and presented all arguments and examined all witnesses before the arbitrator. The Panel awarded client full damages, including costs, attorneys’ fees, and post-judgment interest after a multi-day hearing.
- Obtained full relief for client in property dispute involving improper use of commercially leased space. Cassie briefed and argued motions on legal issues, performed witness examinations in hearings before the bench, and successfully obtained a judgement awarding possession of the property to her client.
- Part of a trial team that obtained a full defense verdict in an at least $50 million medical device lawsuit in Dallas County. Cassie prepared and argued pretrial motions, drafted witness examinations including cross-examinations of expert witnesses, and advised at counsel table during month-long trial.
- As second-chair counsel, obtained favorable resolution of more than one dozen arbitrations before the AAA on behalf of a national wellness company in franchisor-franchisee dispute. Cassie drafted pleadings, successfully helped compel the assorted disputes to arbitration per relevant contractual language, managed hearings and conferences with more than one dozen arbitrators, and drafted dispositive motions clarifying legal issues. These rulings eventually played a role in favorable settlement of the assorted matters.
- Obtained favorable resolution of high-stakes dispute involving the manufacture and sale of oil country tubular goods. Cassie managed many aspects of the case, including taking and defending corporate representative depositions, briefing legal issues, and working with expert witnesses to position the dispute for a favorable settlement of the matter for a large publicly traded manufacturing company.
